Girls in Hawaii
Girls In Hawaii was formed in 2001 in Belgium. Each of the two initiating members of the project, Antoine and Lionel, composed for 1 year a few tracks for a first demo. After strengthening their line-up with additional members, they released their first EP « Found In The Ground – The Winter » in February 2003, followed a few months later by a first long-lasting album « From Here To There ». The beloved children of Walloon Brabant have now been squatting on the Belgian and international waves for more than 15 years. In September 2017, they released « Nocturne », their 4th studio album, opening a new chapter that describes a contrasting view of the world. We find there the musical imprint of the Belgian indie pop band which also transports us to electronic sounds. The album plays with opposites, similar but different, frightened but courageous, melodious and risky.

Dj Esch has long been a professional vinyl collector: humble and meticulous, carefully collecting every piece of a gigantic puzzle made of jazz-funk-afro-hip-hop and all the electronic music that emerges from it, bringing us back to the forefront of what is currently being done in the field. For the happiness of the quidam, he decided one day to share this passion by going behind his turntables to become Dj Esch.
Francesco aka DNTKNW is a dj, beatmaker and sound engineer from Italy based in Brussels since 2010. Having nurtured an early passion for music, he started spinning his first records in his early teens, focusing his style especially on techno, minimal and techouse. Moving to Belgium allowed him to access styles of music and to discover artists totally unknown to him. His greatest passion is to purchase old forgotten vinyls and to flip them, making a totally new and renovated instrumental. He has lately launched a new beats project under the name DNTKNW (don’t know) in which he starts releasing new-old unreleased beats as well as totally brand new prods. His first appearance under this name was on December the 10th 2018 on Radio Bruzz (RE:Fresh program) as representative of his collective Bedroom Beats. The styles of his productions vary from more boom bap and hip-hop based beats to more electronic sounds like dubstep, future garage and breaks. His dj sets are often very eclectic and go through a great deal of styles from more chilled out vibes like jazz and soul to more funky and danceable bangers like house and hip-hop.
Rafael Aragon’s music is made for the dance floor, rich in low but delicate, maximalist and highly psychedelic. Dancefloor killings designed to make you sweat blend with luminous melodies and odes to beauty, with a touch of magic inspired by shamanic rites and Afro-Latin and Oriental folk traditions. Mystical chimes, tribal drums and voodoo incantations respond to large kicks, hypnotic basslines and electronic batucadas. Tripping and ultra-dancing music, for feet, hips and ears… With his many live and dj sets in clubs, free parties and festivals all over Europe, South America and North Africa, Rafael has made a name for himself as a producer, remixer and dj on the world and electronic scene. This tireless globetrotter is fully inflated and ready to enchant you with a deep and powerful « global rave » sound.
Intercity Travel combines silky guitars and shaky keyboard layers to make a cheerful new wave sound. Their short, chiseled songs speak of boredom and resignation with joy. The perfect soundtrack to come back from holidays. 10 years after a very ephemeral and local success with their high-school band, two of its members met again in Brussels. They loosened the slim jeans, lowered the overdrive and were joined by a third pal on keyboard. The banal poetry of everyday life plays a major role in Intercity Travel’s compositions. Advertising, day-to-day e-mails, awkward silences are all sources of inspiration. Their short and efficient songs usually come out from endless and inaudible improvisation sessions, inspired by Ducktails, The Radio Dept., Hoops, or New Order. They came out from their basement in 2019 for a streak of shows in Brussels, including for the « Off » Brussels Summer Festival.

Beautiful Badness is the spleen of a child of the nineties, Gabriel Sesboué, a songwriter based in Brussels, inhabited by his pop heroes such as Anthony and The Johnsons or Rufus Wainwright, marked by the complex structures of Queen and the romantic classics (Berlioz, Camille Saint Saëns…) and finally an angelic singer with a perfect falsetto cut by his obsessive listening by Jeff Buckley. Beautiful Badness unveils a new repertoire where the heavy and resolutely electro basses remind us that it is 2019. After a season marked by the new EP entitled « Walking on a mirror », concerts in France and Belgium (Botanique, La Cigale, L’Aeronef, Forest National), then summer festivals (Francofolies, Solidarités…), the forthcoming album « Rewind » is an ode to a world that seemed less complex: the many influences assumed mix in an epic, lyrical and grandiloquent fresco.
Fano (Törst Obborun, Industroïka)
Born and raised on the shore of the Mediterranean sea, lulled by the repetitive sound of the waves crashing, fascinated by the noise of the natural elements, but also by the daily life objects, the cities, the industry, the machines. Adding on top the love for the radio, the story telling, the documentaries, the cinema, this mixture leads to the use of musical instruments to serve sample based music, from rock driven guitars to hypnotic drone keyboards, through beat making and infinite effects experiments. As results some musical projects : « Industroïka » and « Törst Obborun », along with 10 years of booking shows (and more recently band productions) as BangBangBooking, giving the immense privilege of breaking borders touring several times around Europe, sharing stages, music & drinks with incredible heterogeneous people.
